Lenovo Broadens AI Infrastructure Portfolio with Next-Gen Server Solutions

New hybrid AI systems and services target enterprise efficiency, performance, and ROI

Lenovo has significantly expanded its enterprise AI capabilities by launching a series of advanced data center technologies under its Hybrid AI Advantage brand. These latest solutions combine robust server hardware with curated software integrations to help businesses accelerate their AI-driven digital transformation.

Flagship Compute Powerhouse: ThinkSystem SR680a V4

At the center of Lenovo’s latest hardware offerings is the ThinkSystem SR680a V4 — a high-performance AI server engineered to handle inference workloads at speeds reportedly up to 11 times faster than its predecessors. The system includes a powerful mix of 20+ processors, cooled via air-based systems, to ensure reliability under heavy AI workloads.

Key components include:

  • 8 NVIDIA Blackwell B200 AI accelerators, ideal for handling complex neural network operations.

  • 6 Intel Xeon 6 CPUs, boasting up to 288 Efficient cores for streamlined performance.

  • 8 NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPU SuperNICs, enabling ultra-fast connectivity between CPUs and GPUs while reducing CPU load through smart offloading.

Enhanced Systems for Specialized Workloads

In addition to the SR680a V4, Lenovo is introducing two AI-optimized solutions built on its existing SR675 server line:

  1. A system pairing SR675 V3 with Cisco Nexus switches – outfitted to accommodate up to eight NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. These cards are suitable for a range of workloads beyond AI, thanks to their versatile architecture.

  2. An SR675-based configuration tailored for IBM watsonx – aimed at organizations building and deploying AI models with IBM’s suite of machine learning tools.

Integrated AI Bundles for Industry Use Cases

To help customers deploy practical AI solutions, Lenovo is rolling out four targeted bundles combining its infrastructure with partner software:

  • Smart Hospitality (Centific + NVIDIA): Enhances personalization, guest analytics, and operational efficiency in hotels.

  • Workplace Safety (Avathon + NVIDIA): Uses AI-driven visual monitoring to enforce PPE compliance and identify hazards in real time.

  • Retail Analytics (WaitTime + Intel): Delivers edge-based crowd insights, enabling businesses to optimize space usage and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Quality Control (Trifork + NVIDIA): Automates defect detection and continuously retrains models on-site for better manufacturing outcomes.

Strategic Services for Smarter AI Adoption

Lenovo’s 2025 Global CIO Playbook suggests enterprise AI investments will soon make up nearly one-fifth of total IT budgets. However, many firms still struggle to derive measurable value from these efforts.

To address this gap, Lenovo unveiled a suite of AI Adoption and Change Management Services designed to:

  • Evaluate organizational AI readiness through structured assessments.

  • Create persona-based learning paths to guide AI upskilling.

  • Support seamless integration of tools like Microsoft Copilot.

  • Promote responsible AI governance and cultural alignment.

These services are intended to help companies move beyond experimentation and into tangible ROI.

Driving Transformation Through Trusted Partnerships

“Turning AI potential into business value requires more than hardware—it takes expertise, strategy, and the right technology stack,” said Ken Wong, EVP and president of Lenovo’s Solutions and Services Group. “Our Hybrid AI Advantage approach empowers organizations to scale AI with confidence, speed, and measurable impact across every department.”
